Amber Heard Biography

Amber Heard is an American actress born on 22nd April 1986 in Austin, Texas where she was also raised. She is the daughter to David, a contractor and his wife Paige, a state internet researcher. She also has one sibling, a sister by the name Whitney Heard. Amber studied at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy in Austin and left in her junior year to pursue her acting career in Hollywood. She was an active teenager frequently appearing at her school’s drama events as well as in local commercials and campaigns. Her friend died in a road accident when she was 16 and Heard, a catholic raised, declared herself atheist. Her declaration was also facilitated by the works of Ayn Rand, to which she was introduced by her then boyfriend.

At the age of 17, she dropped out of school and relocated to New York for a modeling career. She then moved to Los Angeles to progress her acting career. But that was not the end of her education because she earned a diploma through homeschooling.

After having settled in Los Angeles, Amber attended numerous auditions. She managed to get a number of small roles, appearing in TV shows and music clips videos like “There Goes My Life.” She got a role in Jack & Bobby in 2004 and another brief character as a salesgirl in The O.C. 2005. Her first major role was in Friday Night Lights (2004) where she was portrayed as Maria. She then starred in other films like Side FX (2005), You Are Her (2006) and “Price to Pay” (2006).

Heard has taken part in a number of social activities like LGBT rights. She also supports Habitat for Humanity; Girl Up, a campaign funded by the United Nations Foundation; Amnesty International and The Art of Elysium. Apart being actively involved in activism, Amber is frequently featured in fashion magazines.
