Blake Lively Biography

Actress Blake Lively was born in Los Angeles, California on 25th August 1987 to a family in the show business. She is the daughter to Elaine, a talent scout and her father Ernie, an actor and director. She is the youngest of all her 4 siblings who also happen to be actors. Her parents used to live in Georgia before they relocated to Los Angeles so as to pursue their show business.

Blake Lively started her grade at the age of 3. Her brother was nervous to start first grade on his own such that her parents had to tell the school she is also 6 for them to start together. Lively recalls that a few weeks later, the teachers planned to put her in a mentally disabled class because she wasn’t catching up with the rest. All she wanted to do at that time was sleep while the other kids worked on their projects. After starting that early in school, which was probably ill-advised, she attended 13 different schools before graduating from grade school. She eventually attended Burbank High School where she was extraordinary both in academics and extracurricular activities. Apart from scoring highly in the AP coursework, she was a cheerleader, class president and also member of the school choir.

Lively’s siblings always pressured her to quit started and concentrate on acting but she had no interest. She always dreamt of joining Stanford University. However, Eric, her older brother, always sensed her star potentials and always pushed that she goes for an audition. He used to go as far as calling agents to explain to them about his beautiful younger sister. For her, she was busy in school but every time an agent called, she could not say “No” because that would upset her brother.

Finally at the age of 17, Lively decided to try some auditions. Just within months of auditioning, she got a major role in 2005’s The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. She performed well in this earning a Teen Choice Award nomination for Breakout Movie Star.
